I guess we made it good morning good morning good morning
0:37
okay we going to get
0:43
started I'm just going to get started with the lesson father we just thank you for this
0:49
day we thank you for this opportunity Lord have
0:55
mercy we come against every trick plot and ploy
1:00
of the enemy every device every weapon your word says no weapon formed us
1:06
against us will prosper and every tongue that rises up against us in
1:12
judgment God that we shall condemn and so father we know the enemy
1:18
is very busy and he's very cunning and he's seeking to devour us and definitely
1:25
he's seeking to prevent us from getting your word out but father I thank you you so
1:31
much that your word is going to still go forth it will not return to your Void but it will accomplish absolutely
1:39
everything that it was sent to do and so now father I just say thank
1:44
you I praise you I glorify you and I magnify you and I lift up your Holy
1:50
Name there is none like you in all the Earth have your way in this lesson on
1:56
today God let everyone get what they're supposed to get in Jesus name I pray
2:16
amen and it's not showing up on Facebook let me try to figure this out I'm gonna have to come back and edit
2:24
again but let me try to get back in I should have stayed on my phone
2:40
I'm trying to um it looks like it's not showing up on my Facebook page so I'm
2:45
going to just take a minute to try to make sure that it gets to the Facebook page as well I know that
2:52
the majority of the people that normally watch are on their way to church by now but I'm still going to
3:03
try to get this right so if they want to come back and watch the replay they
3:09
can so just give me one minute I'm going to mute for a minute and try to figure this out it's
3:28
not e
4:21
okay it's not letting me add to my face I don't think it's letting me add it to my Facebook page I'm just going to move
4:27
on if you are on and and you're able to see me you can you can it's not letting
4:32
me scroll down it's not letting me do anything it kicked me totally out um I've been having problem after
4:39
problem so I'm just going to go ahead and get started with the lesson I've already prayed and I'm going
4:44
to start with our lesson our lesson today is coming from
4:50
Luke chapter 18 verses 35-
4:55
43 and the title of our lesson is David's son and when we go back and we
5:01
think about what we've talked about in these last few weeks we talked about Jesus lineage we talked
5:09
about how um John was a forerunner for Jesus and so we know that Jesus is from
5:17
the lineage of David and so was John right they were cousins we talked about
5:23
when Elizabeth and Mary came together to meet Mary went to visit Elizabeth and
5:29
when went to visit Elizabeth Elizabeth was late in her pregnancy and up close
5:34
to having her baby and that when she went to visit Elizabeth that John the
5:40
baby in Mary Elizabeth's stomach it Le it leaped it began to leap and so then
5:47
we talked about how Mary and Joseph had to go pay taxes and
5:52
when they went to pay taxes Mary went into labor and gave birth to Jesus and that Jesus was laid in a manger and and
5:59
he was wrapped in swaddling clothing because there was no room for him in the end they had gone from place
6:07
to place trying to get a room and couldn't get a room so Jesus ended up being born in a manger all of that came
6:14
about because scripture had predestined had spoken of this had prophesied this
6:19
for years and years and years that these things were going to take place and so now in today's story we're going to be
6:26
talking about David's son and so welcome welcome welcome to redefining with Coach
6:33
fee Sunday school and it's based on Luke 18 again so if you're following me I
6:39
always ask you to get out your Bibles and go to the verse that we're in we're
6:45
in Luke 18 and 35-43 and this this this um Sunday
6:51
school lesson is really talking about faith again and being persistent in our
6:56
faith it highlights Jesus compassion for those who seek him and so let's dive
7:02
into this Narrative of bardus a blind beggar whose Encounter With Jesus
7:09
changed his life for forever and it's so ironic that this is the lesson because I
7:14
had not studied it we had been traveling my family and I had been traveling and on the trip home yesterday my grandson
7:21
and I actually talked about this scripture and then when I got up to do the lesson saw that this is what we're
7:28
going to be talking about blind vardus is what we call them growing up amen
7:36
um give me one minute I want to go to our key scripture
7:42
I lost a piece of my mouse on top of everything else so scrolling through is a little bit
7:48
harder um I'm trying to go through to our key scripture so I can read that and then we
7:55
begin our lesson
8:17
okay our key scripture is found in Luke
8:23
chapter 18 verse 39 it says they went with they which went before him rebuked
8:30
him that he should Noto that he should hold his peace but he cried so much the
8:35
more thou son of David have mercy on me and you know when I read this key um
8:42
scripture it makes me think about some of our modern day churches
8:47
when people come in church and disrupt the normal flow of the service
8:52
or they crying out for help and we tell them to be quiet be quiet sh preachers
9:00
talking and how are you going to get God's attention if you don't cry out to him and I don't mean cry out as yelling
9:07
as he did but we have to be willing to go before God and pour it all out to him
9:13
and cry out to him and let him know that because the Bible does say that we have
9:19
not because we ask not now God knows what we need he knows our desires he knows all of that but he wants us to
9:27
come to him as our father and to pray to him have a conversation with him and
9:34
tell him what we need and so here we see blind bardas and they went before and they
9:41
rebuked him they told him to be quiet shut up but that he should hold his
9:49
peace but he cried so much more he cried out to God with groanings and with
9:55
everything in him have mercy on me do we go before God like that do we go before
10:03
God crying out and asking him to have a have mercy on us do we do we do that do
10:10
we go before God at all do we go before him at all do we do we think that we can
10:16
take our prayers and our problems to him there's a song we used to sing growing
10:21
up that said make no difference what the problem I can go to God In Prayer
10:26
because I know that he can solve them so everything that we need we take it to
10:33
the Lord in prayer amen and bares was not crazy that's exactly what he did he
10:39
took his things to the Lord in prayer so blind Bas was a beggar and his
10:47
Encounter With Jesus it changed his life he was a beggar so he was blind he
10:53
didn't have the ability to do things that he really needed to do so he was out begging to get the things that he
10:58
need and well people overlooked him and now and this just came to me people overlooked him but Jesus stopped and
11:05
gave him full audience I love that Jesus Took time for
11:11
him he took time for him do we stop and take time for people do we stop and give
11:18
people the attention that they need Jesus does and by he was a beggar
11:25
so it's just like a homeless person that we call a homeless person on the side of the road do we stop to give attention
11:31
and time to
11:36
people let's continue I'm trying to get my screen
11:46
organized okay so let's go to our next our very first
11:53
verse in Luke 18-35 it says and it came to pass that as he was come nigh unto
12:00
Jericho a certain blind man Sat by the way begging a certain blind man so here
12:08
doesn't really give a whole lot of background right Jesus is on his way to Jerusalem and he's passing through
12:15
Jericho through great crowds and he's eager to see that are eager to hear him
12:21
and to see him among them is barame a blind man sitting by the
12:27
roadside so can you just imagine in your mind that you're on a road a country
12:33
road I'm just going to say a country road because if you're in the city you can't imagine a road but you're in a rural area and you're walking down a
12:40
road uphills and downhills we just came from Alabama and we saw all these Hills
12:46
and all this red dirt and all these paths and trails and so he's going
12:51
whatever route they took from Jerusalem to get to Jericho and on this path it
12:57
was crowds of people and I can just imagine in my mind's eye that it's people on both sides of the road and the
13:03
people are probably even almost covering the roads where the has kind of push his way through to get through the crowd
13:10
because it said it was crowds and if you think about a crowd when you go to a theater or you go to a a game a sports
13:17
activity or something of that nature and you're going through what happens you have to kind of pivot and go through
13:24
this way and go through that way to get around but in all of that
13:30
all of those people and all of that crowd Jesus was able to see
13:36
barus now think about this it doesn't matter all of what's going on in the
13:41
world Jesus can see all of us individually he can see every one of us
13:47
and he can meet every one of us right where we
13:54
are we're in Luke 18 starting with verse 35 through
14:00
43 and so B man was sitting on the side of the
14:06
world now let's talk about Bess from a biblical biblical perspective back in
14:12
those days right it's just like leprosy and some of the other things the woman
14:17
with the issue of blood and the the um blindness and leprosy those people were
14:25
supposed to be ostracized they were not supposed to come in the midst of Jesus
14:32
they were not supposed to come around other people they were supposed to stay away from other people they were
14:38
ostracized but so um blindness was often viewed as a sign of divine punishment or
14:45
Misfortune leading to a social and economic marginalization so he was poor
14:51
as I said earlier because he was blind and he was ostracized he he and he
14:56
really couldn't do the things that he needed to do to to provide for himself his condition placed him among society's
15:03
most vulnerable the what we call now the Indigent population right yet his story
15:10
teaches us that God sees value in every individual regardless of societal views
15:17
so we s I'm not gonna get I was about to get ahead of myself so let me just go back I was getting ready to get ahead
15:23
and talk about but in the Scripture it said that as he was passing through Jericho that this blind man was sitting
15:30
there by the side of the road and we also saw and so I guess I can technically go there because it was our
15:37
key scripture and it talked about how they told him to hold his peace to be
15:43
quiet and um but he refused to because he knew that Jesus was the answer to
15:50
this or as we say in coaching the solution to his problem he added value to him because he
15:58
saw him as valuable even though many didn't see him as
16:05
valuable even though he they saw him as a beggar God still saw him Jesus still
16:12
saw him as someone of importance let's go
16:19
on and I do have my book here this gives me problems
16:29
so barus hears about
16:36
Jesus this is ridiculous okay let me I do have I went
16:41
I was led to go get my book out the car so I did so barus hears about
16:52
Jesus and it says in verse 36 and hearing the multitude passed by he asked
16:59
what it meant the exact markup and the number of the multiple we don't know how many people know it was but we know that
17:06
it was enough people that Baron mayor shouldn't have even
17:11
been noticed he shouldn't have even been recognized he shouldn't have been visible at all to these people because
17:20
it was a crowd a large crowd
17:37
so let's let's go on and hearing the multitudes passed by
17:43
he asked what it meant and they told him that Jesus of Nazareth passes by and he
17:49
cried saying Jesus thou son of David have mercy on me that's verse
17:56
36 through 38 so when bar learns that Jesus is near he
18:04
calls out but he calls him son of David what makes him call him son of
18:10
David because let me tell you something people know who we are by way
18:17
of the spirit and a lot of conflict and things we have is not because of who we
18:23
are in the natural but it's because of who we are in the spirit Jesus had been going from place to the place Healing
18:29
The Sick raising the dead opening blinded eyes helping the lame doing all the
18:36
feeding thousands this first miracle feeding
18:42
thousands and yeah you don't think people heard about
18:48
that you don't think people knew who Jesus was even those that didn't believe
18:54
him even those who did not receive him knew he was that he who he was they knew
19:02
of they knew he was Joseph's son right and Joseph came from what lineage we
19:08
talked about this last week he came through the lineage of David so they all knew this even though they may have not
19:14
have recognized him as the Son of God they recognized him as the son of David
19:22
and so this cry recognizes Jesus as the Messiah son of David and shows his faith
19:30
in Jesus power to heal now what do you think about that do
19:36
we see Jesus as the Son of God do
19:42
we do we have enough faith in him to believe him to heal us from
19:49
anything whether it be spiritual healing physical healing mental
19:55
emotional Financial any situation we get into we believe that he is the answer
20:02
once and for all I mean if you think about it they
20:07
sacrificed doves and turtles and Lambs without splatter or blemish but then
20:13
Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice once and for all do we really believe that do
20:19
we really believe that Jesus was the one who came and really took away the sins of the world do we really believe that
20:26
he who knew no sin to he knew no sin do we believe he
20:32
didn't know no sin people are say oh Jesus had a wife and Jesus did this and Jesus did that scripture does not speak
20:38
to that but do we believe the main thing
20:43
Romans 10:9 and10 that he was born of a virgin that he walked this Earth doing
20:48
these things that these Miracles that we're talking about today that he died on the cross and rose
20:55
again so that we can have salvation so that we can have eternal life as he
21:01
told the thief on the cross with him that where I am there ye may be also do we really believe it remember this text
21:10
Luke 18 and 13 I'm sorry Luke 18 and 35-43 is letting us remember that we
21:18
have to be persistent in our faith and that Jesus has compassion for
21:24
all of us some of us think we're not good enough right I talked to to you
21:30
guys about that when God told me to teach Sunday school why me I'm not good enough I have a speech impediment I have
21:36
a brain injury I don't remember things but the Holy Spirit does bring things to
21:41
my remembrance as I teach do we believe that God is able to
21:47
do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think do we believe that
21:52
he is a way maker do we believe that he is a Healer do we believe that everything that we need is in him that
21:59
we live that we move and have our being do we believe that barus
22:05
believed he believed and even though they told him to be quiet he knew that
22:11
Jesus was the only one that can help him so he cried and I don't believe the cry
22:16
though it was a verbal cry was just a verbal cry I believe that it was a cry
22:23
none like none other for help when when something is going on that so tragic and
22:29
so dramatic that you you don't you when you cry out you cry out from your very
22:35
soul I believe that he cried out like the Bible talks about the whing women I
22:40
believe that he whed Jesus Son of
22:46
David have mercy on me I believe that that
22:53
cry even if he had whispered audibly that the cry
22:59
internally would have been so loud that Jesus would have noticed it's like the
23:06
woman with the issue of blood he was in a crowd at that time the word of God say
23:11
he was in a crowd and she touched the very just the hyn y'all look at your shirt and pull
23:19
your shirt up or you and and look at the him like just the very tip of His
23:26
Garment when all those people around it took the virtue out of him and
23:32
he said who touched me because it was a touch of Faith barame Maya's cry was a
23:40
cry of faith it was a cry of belief and he was
23:46
persistent even though they kept saying be quiet I would imagine that like in our day they would be escorting him out
23:53
of the church you got to go you making too much noise be
24:02
quiet but he said no what I need Jesus has
24:07
it and so he cried with everything in
24:12
him from the pit of his so Soul he cried and
24:19
Jesus attention was gotten he got Jesus
24:25
attention so let's read this story one day when I was young I discovered my
24:31
mother and paternal grandmother looking at Old photographs with a confused look my mom
24:37
held up one fo picture and asked when did we have this picture of Laura taken
24:43
that's not Laura my grandmother answered that's me when I was little we all gathered around to see the photo it
24:49
looked so much like me that we could understand my mom's confusion as I have grown I have begun
24:57
to look more more like my father who looks a lot like his mother when people
25:02
meet my dad they comment how much alike we look similarly my youngest daughter
25:09
looks a lot like my husband I recently looked at a photo of them together and felt shocked to realize they have the
25:16
same eyes smiling nose we probably assume that a person needs visual Acuity
25:23
for such recognitions to be made but in today's lesson it was a man left lacking eyesight who recognized
25:30
Jesus as David's son he had no physical Vision he could
25:36
not see the anointing or the presence of God and he had heard he heard
25:45
it but he felt I'm sure he felt that anointing and that presence of God if you've ever been in the presence and the
25:52
anointing of God people of God who are anointed I'm sure he also felt the anointing and presence of God
26:01
but in today's lesson it was a man lacking eyesight who recognized Jesus as David's Sons the text doesn't say how he was
26:08
able to do so but the Bible has much to say about those who have eyes but fail
26:14
to see how can you ensure you have no spiritual blind spots in this regard and
26:20
how can you ensure that people recognize Jesus in your life what can we do
26:28
as people of God to ensure that our lights are
26:33
shining that we are the salt in the earth that when people see us or around
26:39
us even if we never open our mouth that they recognize us as Sons and Daughters
26:46
of God that's a very good thing to ponder verse 39 and they went before
26:55
rebuked him that he should hold his peace but but he cried so much more thou
27:00
son of David have mercy on me the crowd attempted to quiet the blind man and
27:06
Luke doesn't say why but I've already spoken to this and I keep saying I get ahead of myself but but we technically
27:13
could get ahead of ourselves because this was our key scripture right but most people believe that individuals who
27:19
were important and famous stood among common people's concerns he was a
27:26
commoner Jesus was somebody you know when we go around Bishops and apostles
27:33
and Prophets and evangelists and you know sometimes they don't even let you
27:38
get close to them to shake their hand or touch them they Usher them out before the crowd can even get up get to them
27:44
and they like I could imagine that and I can see it in our churches of today how
27:51
we don't allow access to the very thing is supposed to be the solution they tried to prevent him from
27:59
getting what he needed from God but he said no no no no that's not about to
28:05
happen I'm gonna get what I need today when we go in churches when we go into
28:11
churches do we go in with an expan IT expecting God to do something for us or
28:18
are we just going out a ritual are we just going to church every Sunday because Grandma took us and Mama took us
28:24
and Big Mama and muddy and them took us to church there will be a point when we will go
28:31
because that's what we were taught but at some point we should be going because
28:37
we going to meet God there and we're going to get whatever we need from him
28:43
and to even give what we're we're supposed to be giving to others that's
28:48
what we're going for we're not going just to go but we're going with
28:54
expectation this man was sitting on the side of the road thinking of nothing but he heard that Jesus was coming
29:01
through and when he heard that he knew that Jesus could help him I know you've heard about Jesus even
29:10
if you don't believe because maybe like do Thomas you
29:15
you got to see to believe you know people try to say God is not real and
29:20
got God is fake and there's no such thing as God and all types of things
29:26
that they have and they worship idle Gods but won't believe in the one true Living
29:31
God people say all types of things but don't let anyone sway you
29:37
from what you believe we back to that it says and they went before which went
29:45
before rebuked him that he should hold his peace the blind man showed no concern
29:51
for what what social Norm was I don't care what's normal in the church I don't care what the social Norm is in the
29:57
church I don't care what the rules the regulations the theology I don't care about none of that I'm supposed to come
30:03
to the church house to get what I need I'm supposed to come to the church house to be healed set free delivered and so
30:11
when I come I'm coming with expectancy and I'm going to cry out and I'm going to cry before the Lord and I'm G to wh
30:17
and do whatever I need to do to get what I need I'm not trying to go to the church house and leave the same way that
30:24
I came I'm not trying to go in blind whether it's natural BL BL is spiritual blindness I'm not trying to go in blind
30:31
and leave blind I want to see the word of God say
30:36
he that has an ear let him hear what the spirit is saying but we also should be able to see and feel the anointing and
30:45
the presence of God in the church edifice my church is virtual because my
30:51
church started doing Co God told my pastors to start a church and they
30:56
started virtual because they didn't have a building and they're looking for a building but even in our virtual
31:01
meetings the Holy Spirit visits Us in those virtual Gatherings the Holy
31:08
Spirit visits us and I don't go on oh it's
31:13
online I'm I'm not I mean it's online I don't care I'm just going to go see what they got to say no I go with expectation
31:21
I go expecting to leave with a word or a prayer or something something
31:29
to help me to become a better person to heal some areas that need to
31:35
be healed to deliver me from some things that need to be delivered from to set me
31:41
free from whether I'm blind and don't see something naturally or whether I'm
31:47
blind spiritually to some things I want God to show me even in
31:55
these lessons when I'm teaching I want want God to show me what this how this
32:01
applies to my life I don't read scripture and I don't teach Sunday school and I don't study the word of God
32:07
just because it's a book I study it with expectation I study it with with the uh
32:14
desire to be a better me to to change and to be delivered from some things some hearts things areas that I may
32:21
struggle in to overcome to be an overcomer
32:29
to be Champion
32:34
barus even though Society said oh no you can't go in church like that you
32:41
homeless you don't even have on no good clothes your clothes come to your above
32:46
your knee you almost showing your bless Parts your boobs are hanging out you
32:51
haven't even taken a bath in two weeks you can't go into church y'all where we at
32:59
where are we at even in here the Bible said there's nothing new nothing new
33:05
it's not new that people tried to keep people from Jesus it's not new that
33:10
people wanted you to be silent and to to continue to stay in the state that you
33:16
were in had he not cried out before God he would have never got what he
33:21
needed if he hadn't called on Jesus he wouldn't have got what he needed
33:29
are you persistent are you consistent are you pressing
33:38
in or are you just quitting I'm telling you it's days that I've wanted to quit
33:44
and my grandson talked about this too it is times when life has been so overwhelming in every area and then in
33:51
my book I talked about it a little bit in the perfect store in my chapter in the last book
34:02
everything people can tell you what to do and how to do it but when they've not had your experience they don't they will
34:09
never understand that song you don't know my story you really don't know each
34:14
other's story now I was telling my grandson this last night I said multiple people can be
34:21
in the same area see the same thing but all see something different and all have
34:28
a totally different experience because we are individuals and we're all different it would be nice if I could
34:35
just stand next to somebody and know everything feel and know everything that they've been through and be able to have
34:41
not just empathy for them but even sympathize with where they are but that's not the way it works only
34:49
God feels and knows everything about us and unless he reveals something to us
34:55
about another person then we really don't know so we should
35:02
ask they didn't even ask himh are you crying out to Jesus what is it that you
35:08
need from him they didn't even see it from spiritual eyes so my grandson said
35:15
this last night maybe they were blind to the fact of who Jesus really was and his
35:21
capabilities maybe they were really blind to him like this man blind was sitting by
35:27
the side of Road Jesus is the answer to the solution to that problem he can add value to his life but
35:35
y'all tell him to be quiet and the more he holls the more y'all tell him to be quiet but it says he didn't listen to
35:42
them I say to you don't listen to people what they have to say to you if they're
35:48
not giving you a positive message from God renounce it do not allow that stuff
35:53
in your spirit because it will pull you down it would drag you back to maybe them old
36:00
thoughts that you used to have about yourself maybe you felt like that at
36:05
some point in your life and you fought tooth and nail to not be that
36:12
anymore my daughter I say this all the time my daughter went to a training and the lady at the training and she
36:18
probably said it in my training too but she said our pastors not Define us but people will try to make our past
36:26
Define us we see that right here in this very scripture Luke
36:32
18-39 he was a beggar a blind beggar on
36:37
the side of the road he had no value to the people but he had value to God you
36:44
may not have value people may not value but God values you God sees you God hears you and so do
36:55
not allow people to to take away what God is able to give you they may not
37:01
even realize sometimes the things that they're saying and the impact is having on you and how yeah I dug my way out of
37:09
this why do you keep trying to take me back there don't let them do it y'all
37:14
don't let them do it if you have to remove yourself if you have to separate yourself and and stay in to stay in your
37:21
head space I get it you have to do that I was told God said for me to stop
37:27
isolating myself but I do it to protect myself the word also says guard your
37:32
heart sometimes you have to do things to be able to guard yourself because you
37:37
know spiritually where you are and you know what you need and so you may have
37:43
to do that you may have to but when God says go you have to go
37:49
as well amen so so we don't know how many people it was but they did
37:56
everything in their power to keep from getting the help he needed that's sad in
38:01
the church these were these crow that was following Jesus now we know everybody that followed Jesus wasn't
38:07
following him because they believe though some people followed him because they wanted what he had to give they
38:13
wanted the food and they wanted the blessings and they wanted that they didn't care about the spiritual peace
38:19
they didn't believe he was the son of God he came to his own and they didn't even believe who he was
38:28
verse 40 and Jesus stood and commanded him to be brought unto him when he was
38:34
come near he asked him saying verse 41 will thou what Willl thou that I shall
38:42
do unto thee and he said Lord that I may receive my
38:47
sight y'all based on Ancient ideas of honor and value of persons the blind man had
38:54
very little worth he was nothing and it's funny people don't see
39:01
themselves as Hardy and up here but if you look down on other people and you see other people as little even because
39:09
of something that they did in the past then you are the one with the problem
39:14
because if God can see them and see who they really are why can't you maybe you're the one with the blind eyes maybe
39:21
you need to be going asking Jesus to give you your sight when we talk about this man in
39:28
particular this man was physically blind but spiritually he wasn't blind
39:35
because he knew who Jesus was he said thy son of
39:41
David have mercy on me he knew who Jesus was he couldn't see
39:46
Jesus they had to tell him that Jesus was coming he may have sensed that Jesus was
39:52
coming but he knew he was even though he couldn't see
39:59
him I decree that our eyes will be open our spiritual eyes not just our natural
40:05
eyes but our spiritual eyes will be open to see God to see Jesus to have the to
40:13
to understand the experiences and that we the encounters that we are having are
40:18
from him to hear his voice and recognize it our eyes will be open our ears will
40:25
be open to hear hear what the spirit of the Lord is saying to his church we will
40:31
be the church that he is calling us to be not the church that's open making
40:37
sure we get the right amount of money and making sure that we have this much time doing this and that much time doing
40:43
that and having a whole but allowing Holy Spirit to come in and move as he
40:49
see fits to have his way this
40:54
man had no value
41:01
why how do we how do we value people when they walk in the church smelling
41:06
and I and oh we want to clo send the security guards back in to tell them to get
41:12
out what are we doing but Jesus commanded him to be
41:18
brought unto him even though they didn't value him that he didn't have no Worth
41:24
to them Jesus commanded them to bring them to
41:30
him come unto me all you that are labor and heavy labor and I will give you rest
41:36
as we were driving yesterday that scripture resonated with me we're supposed to go to him we're
41:43
supposed to go to the church we're not supposed to go to welfare we're not supposed to go to to to food banks and
41:51
the church is supposed to be the resource and everybody that comes to the church regardless to who they are drug
41:58
dealers alcoholics prostitutes regardless to who they used to
42:05
be they have value to God they should have value with the church and if we
42:10
don't see that as the church then we have a problem Houston there is a
42:17
problem there is a problem because we the church don't recognize the church
42:30
they're still the church it doesn't matter if they're poor doesn't matter if they used to be a prostitute or drug
42:37
addict or whatever we all have value with God the
42:43
word of God says that he is not willing that any should perish but that
42:51
all should come to repentance all all y'all hear that
42:58
yeah yep those people on death row
43:03
oh maybe they did do something in the past but
43:09
obviously God has another plan it's not for us to
43:15
decide it's for God to decide we are just supposed to be the
43:20
vessels the yielded vessels to be there to welcome and invite those people in
43:27
we are not our past our past does not define us so I
43:34
added a little part to that our past does not define us it align aligns us
43:40
it's it positions us for where God is taking us for who he is calling us to be
43:47
and what he is calling us to do our past aligns us this man's past aligns aligned
43:56
him do you see that it positioned him right in where he needed to be to get what he needed from
44:03
God do you think he would have been sitting by the side of the road if he wasn't
44:08
blind do you think that he would have been poor if he wasn't
44:13
blind do you think he would have been ostracized if the problems that he had
44:18
did not exist all of those problems that he
44:25
had were what positioned him to have a desire and a need for God to help him do
44:33
you understand that that be us being as filthy
44:42
rags being as filthy rags that we are in the right
44:49
position for God to help us drunk is I don't know what I've been
44:57
drunk twice and high once off of one puff
45:03
because that's not who I'm who I am who God created me to be it didn't Define me
45:09
my lust was men I don't have that desire anymore God has allow has help has helped me I
45:17
rejected it like the Bible say resist the devil and he will flee I begin to
45:22
reject it even though my flesh had a strong desire for it and the more I
45:27
rejected it the more the Holy Spirit helped me to reject it and at some point
45:33
I didn't have that desire anymore and didn't even recognize it that it just didn't even bother me if I get married
45:40
again oh I okay if I don't I'm
45:45
okay if I have another relationship I'm okay if I don't I'm okay because my
45:52
focus is on the man Jesus God Holy Spirit who can give me
46:02
everything I need and know I don't listen to what Society has to say about
46:08
me and people will say things especially your own family and those who are closest to you because they saw you but
46:16
they really didn't know you I I I'm realizing that just because you in the
46:21
same family you don't means that people really know you they don't know your
46:26
heart heart they don't know your struggles they didn't go through half of what you went through and they didn't see it through your
46:34
lenses again multiple people can be in the same place see the same thing but they all see it
46:40
different they all may hear it
46:45
differently never diminish someone else's experiences all of our experiences are
46:52
to get us to where God is trying to take us to make us who he is calling us to
46:59
be we are his sheep and he knows that sheeps need a
47:06
Shepherd sheep need a Shepherd so he shephered us he gave us holy spirit to
47:13
lead us to guide us into all truths follow Holy Spirit don't follow men if
47:18
he had followed men it said and they which went before rebuked him that he
47:24
should hold his peace but he cried so much more cry do what you need to do to
47:31
be who God is calling you to be don't let people stop you don't let don't
47:37
let uh your past stop you don't let your speech impediment stop you don't let
47:42
your grade level maybe you didn't finish school don't let any of that stop you even this morning when I Was
47:51
preparing the enemy came in and I'mma always say it's the enemy y'all because my computer I left my my computer at
47:57
home is fully charged everything's working on it and right four minutes
48:02
before it was time to start the scrip the the computer froze then it went off and and took a
48:10
long time to come back on and then I went to try to switch and come on on my phone like I did last Sunday and it
48:17
wouldn't even let me come on on my phone and I still had to do a whole new stream
48:23
to come on here so it's no title it's no nothing on here but God's word has to go
48:28
forth and it has to go forth to everybody the word says go into all the
48:36
world so we should not be stopping people from hearing what God has to say
48:42
we should not be keeping people from the word of God I don't care what they look like what they sound like what they
48:48
smell like I don't care what the nursing home smells like we got to go if that's what he tells us to
48:55
go we do not want to get to the gate and he said depart from me I know you know
49:00
you not I was hungry you didn't feed me I was naked you didn't clothe
49:06
me y'all these people that told him to be
49:12
quiet in the H is peace they couldn't have been hearing God because if they hadn't been hearing
49:18
God when they saw him sitting on the side of the road instead of them telling him to be quiet they would have been
49:24
grabbing him up saying hey Jesus here go one you need to heal don't we want each other hold don't we want each other
49:31
healed are we going to continue to judge each other B based on who we
49:36
think they used to be who we think they are how we saw them in their our eyes
49:43
sites remember the children of Israel when they were going to the promised land and they said we are as
49:50
grasshoppers in their eyesight did you hear that we are as grasshoppers in their
49:58
eyesight they're trying to say that the person that they were going into the
50:03
land to conquer in land that the people over there saw them as grasshoppers how do you know how they see
50:13
you we are as grasshoppers in their eyesight it don't matter what you are in
50:18
their eyesight what did God tell you who did God call you who does God say you
50:25
are I hear all the time oh you you like this person you like that person you look that I don't care what people think
50:32
or what they what they how they summarize who I am I'm believing God
50:38
totally for who he told me I was here who he's telling you you are
50:43
and be that person to the best of your ability and ask Holy Spirit to continue
50:49
to help you to
50:55
transform he will transform you like a Transformer car he will take you and
51:00
mold you and make you and pull out some stuff and add in some stuff whack on you
51:06
as Jasper Williams said and just keep on do you know diamonds go through a lot of pressure and they go through a lot of
51:13
cutting and things of that nature to make them the best diamond possible maybe everything you went
51:19
through was because God is trying to make you his best maybe it's a reason ain't no May to
51:26
it it is a reason why you went had to go through that it's a reason why you had
51:32
to be a drug dealer it's a reason why you had to be a prostitute it's a reason why you had to have a addiction to men
51:38
and to drugs and to alcohol and to whatever it's a reason and if you don't
51:44
have that testimony that's okay but don't knock those that have that testimony that the I used to be used to
51:52
be Hallelujah my mother-in-law used to say used to be don't make no honey I
51:57
used to be it don't matter what you used to be even when you were being what you used to be God still saw you who he
52:05
called you to be and he still had you
52:31
and he still had you in his hands he still held you regardless to what you
52:37
did and he's still standing at the door knocking waiting for you to invite him
52:43
in don't matter about what people say it don't matter about what different religions say not the Hebrew Israelites
52:50
not the Jehovah Witnesses not even the some of the Christians thoughts and beliefs
52:57
God didn't create none of that he didn't create all this division he said A house divided against itself can't stand he
53:03
didn't create division Man created division God don't need
53:10
Gatekeepers God can keep his own stuff he created it how are we who he created
53:17
G to tell the Creator how to run his business we have to be very careful how
53:22
we handle people I've apologized to so many people and I still apologize
53:28
because when we don't know what we don't know we can be very harmful to hurt people hurt people yeah but ignorant
53:35
people can hurt people too when you don't have knowledge and you don't know how to do certain things and you don't know what to do and especially when you
53:42
don't have the support that you need through various parts of your life nobody to love on you or to protect
53:50
you or to tell you what you need then maybe you will fall maybe you will maybe
53:56
you wouldn't have had people saw you differently and people laugh at certain
54:01
things I I'm just as I'm sitting here teaching I'm really having
54:06
flashbacks of times where people laughed at me in my face about things that I
54:13
experienced and went through and they thought it was funny but it was so devastating to
54:20
me nothing that I've experienced in my life is laughable nothing but I understand it was all for
54:27
a purpose it was on purpose as they say for a purpose because God had a call on
54:33
my life and I no man woman boy or girl can tell me God didn't call me because I
54:38
know what God said to me I know the experience that I've had with him don't
54:44
let nobody talk you out of what God said to you they were trying to talk him out
54:49
of he knew that who Jesus was he was natur naturally blind but he was not
54:54
spiritually blind spiritually he knew who Jesus was he knew that he was the
54:59
son of David and everybody knew that the son of David was going to be the one that was going to be the call the
55:05
Messiah to save them not in the way that they thought not through some Warfare
55:10
not natural Warfare anyways but
55:16
spiritually I hope something that I said today will push you to continue to be
55:23
who God called you to be and to see you the way God sees you in this lesson we learned that barus
55:31
was blind naturally sitting on the side of the road and Jesus was coming through a
55:38
crowd but Jesus he had enough value to Jesus that Jesus stopped and gave him attention and not only did he stop and
55:45
give him attention he said he commanded him to be brought to
55:51
him he commanded that he be brought to him but that's not what do is it we try
55:58
to push people away cuz we are saved and Sanctified and filled with the precious
56:05
Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues and such as you have done to the least
56:11
of these you've done it also unto me how we treat each other is how we're treating
56:19
God think about that every time I do something if I get
56:26
a the holy a nudge from the Holy Spirit hey you shouldn't have said that I know you thought it was funny but it wasn't
56:33
fix that I immediately apologize I'm sorry I don't
56:38
I didn't I didn't realize that that was going to do make you feel like that I do it immediately
56:52
now well thank you thank you thank you so let me U read this last
56:58
story God values you go you are valuable to
57:03
God oh no we got a couple more scriptures I'm sorry I'm about to end the
57:09
lesson okay 42a and Jesus said unto him receive thy
57:15
sight Christians have been reading this story for over 2,000 years and the radical nature of this healing is less
57:21
clear to us than it would have been to the original readers there were many people people in the first century who
57:27
claimed to have power to heal frequently they depended on calling from a high help from a higher spiritual Force but
57:34
here we have Jesus who they didn't even think was Jesus say receive thy
57:43
sight whatever he has for us it and then he says and the be part of that scripture thy faith hath saved the only
57:52
our faith is going to be the one to save us the word of God said if with without faith is
57:57
impossible to please God because he that comes to him must believe that he is and
58:03
that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him nowhere does it say
58:08
you have to be perfect and I'm not saying live any type of life because that's not acceptable either because he said be holy for I am Holy but our faith
58:17
is going to get us into give us the access we need to the things that we need and 4B is 43b it says
58:28
and I'm sorry 43a I'm just going to read 43 period the results and immediately he
58:35
received his sight and followed him glorifying God and all the people when they saw it gave praise unto
58:42
God those same people that was telling him to be quiet to shut up and go sit
58:47
down somewhere go sit down take two seats now they're glorifying god with
58:53
him because they see the miracle that that Jesus did for him people with
59:00
Jesus one day they were saying hallelujah and glorifying him and
59:05
lifting him up and the next day they were the same people was saying crucify
59:11
him y'all I talked about this during my trip too just because everybody is in a crowd
59:18
with you it's not mean that everybody has the same heart or belief or feeling that you does you do I'm sorry that you
59:25
do you would say hey we were all cool and this that and the other me and my
59:31
grandson had this conversation and it's funny the whole conversation we had had to do with this lesson the whole trip
59:37
the things that we talked about especially the ride home
59:47
yesterday these people were telling him to shut up but now they're praising God
59:53
with him ain't there something but was everybody really genuinely
59:58
praising or were some people in the crowd probably mad because of what he had and what he achieved something to
1:00:06
think about now I'm going to read the last story don't stop asking today's
1:00:12
text illustrates the point on persistence that Jesus made at the beginning of Luke 18 the blind man knew
1:00:18
that Jesus was the only hope to receive healing the man did not heed the the
1:00:23
crowd's admonishment to be silent quite the opposite he did not give up like the
1:00:30
persistent Widow in Luke 18 1-8 he kept asking the Lord for help the formula is
1:00:37
Faith plus persistence was and is powerful indeed
1:00:44
Faith per plus persistence keep going keep asking keep asking keep asking
1:00:52
until you see it come to fruition creative prayer journal and
1:00:57
write down your prayers the day you pray and then write down when it is fulfilled and remember God's timing is not our
1:01:04
time and his thoughts are not our thoughts his ways are not our ways it may not come how we look how how we're
1:01:09
expecting it but it's going to come now one of the stories that I
1:01:15
heard and it's not from here but in growing up it was a story I heard of a woman that was preparing to to see
1:01:24
Jesus and different people came to visit her let's I don't remember the story but
1:01:29
I'm going to just add some stuff so a homeless person came knocking on the door and she turned away you got to go
1:01:36
I'm trying to get ready for Jesus then a BL let say a blind person came
1:01:44
and she said you got to go get away from my house I'm preparing for Jesus and
1:01:50
then maybe a person with Leprosy came and she said get away get away you
1:01:55
is taking away from my time I'm preparing for Jesus Jesus is coming to visit
1:02:01
me and then maybe a woman with the issue of blood or the woman in adultery or the
1:02:08
person that was an alcoholic or a drug addict or a prostitute came and knocked
1:02:13
on that door and she turned them all away because she was waiting on
1:02:19
Jesus and then she sat there and said well I waiting on Jesus and he never showed up he said I was the blind man
1:02:26
I was the the adulterer I was the fornicator I was the woman with the issue of blood I was the person with the
1:02:32
leprosy all of those people were mean do you understand such as you have done to
1:02:38
the least of these you have done it to me the Bible said we may even be entertaining Angels
1:02:45
unbeknown so we have to be really careful how we handle and manage each other he got his victory but it didn't
1:02:52
have nothing to do with the folks he got his victory ictory because he was not blind to who Jesus was do you
1:03:00
see that and even though the people said no you can't do this no you're not
1:03:06
called to preach no you're not Apostle who told you
1:03:13
God
1:03:22
God when he was there's a biblical story very similar about a friend knocking on
1:03:28
the door in the middle of the night he wouldn't open the door but when he was consistent he finally received what he
1:03:34
asked for there you go Faith plus persisted so Jesus
1:03:42
encounter a faithful persistence faithful persistence remains ass sure as it was when he spoke 2,000 years ago my
1:03:50
mother never stopped praying for my brother despite having no support in that regard from either me or my father
1:03:57
she put her faith in a gracious God trusting him to bring her wayward son back to him and to our family God
1:04:05
responded to my mother's persistence in prayer and healed our relationships even so prayer is only one
1:04:12
way by which we can demonstrate persistent Faith there are others can you name
1:04:18
some well this is one he didn't just keep sitting there waiting he cried out to God he went to
1:04:25
God there are we just have to stay connected to God and to people of God
1:04:32
and we have to know our circles who are really for us and who really may be envious of us and even though we don't
1:04:39
feel like we have nothing and we nobody really people don't see it like
1:04:44
that it's a sh crime and a shame but people don't see it like that
1:04:55
so that's the end that's the end of that story but can you name some other
1:05:01
ways that we can be persistent we can persistently go to church we can persistently study our
1:05:08
word just stay on the battlefield we us to sing a song I'm on the battlefield
1:05:15
for the Lord and I promise that I will serve him till I die because I'm on the battlefield yeah we're going to have to
1:05:21
keep fighting fights but fight the good fight of faith
1:05:26
be ye steadfast unmovable always abounding in the works of the Lord for as much as you know that your labor is
1:05:33
not in vain your struggles are not in vain the things that you experienced is
1:05:39
not in vain it's for somebody and when you meet meet that person you gonna say
1:05:44
oh this is why I had to go through that this is what this that experience was that's why I had to struggle this this
1:05:51
is why I had to overcome this thing or that thing
1:05:56
because there were people that God had assigned to me that needed to know that
1:06:02
they can come out of it there were people that needed to know that God loved them even though they were nothing
1:06:08
but ass filthy rags so I love you guys thank you for
1:06:15
joining sorry for all the hiccups that took place in this this morning the
1:06:21
computer not working and it's still giving me problems but I was finally able to just just create a whole new
1:06:26
stream don't have no titles and no scriptures and none of that in it I'll go back and edit all of that at some
1:06:32
point but I wanted to make sure that the lesson got out it just goes to show that
1:06:38
obstacles as Bishop TD Jason I know you probably don't want to hear that name
1:06:43
but hey we all have sin and fallen short of the glory of God if he did it he did it that's between him and God I don't
1:06:49
have nothing to do with that he has preached some powerful sermons and one of the ones that he preached is that Goliath Giants are always at the gate
1:06:58
when we are doing what God is calling us to do we're going to always meet some adversity we're going to meet it
1:07:04
regardless because we Believers but when we start doing things that he's calling us to do the enemy is
1:07:10
going to do what he can to block it my computer been on all night all morning as soon as it's time for me to
1:07:17
hit the the the um start go live button I hit that go live button over and over
1:07:23
and this keep telling me Oh go over there and select your where you want to
1:07:28
stream I love you too yeah our pass don't Define us it
1:07:35
align us so don't let nobody keep you back where you used to be you are
1:07:40
important to God and even though people may not feel like you're important God loves you just
1:07:46
the way you are but he loves you too much to leave you there amen and that's why Jesus said he he commanded that they
1:07:53
bring him to her and he's commanding for us to be him in the earth his hands his
1:08:00
legs his voice the hugs that we give the the words of encouragement that he's commanding that we be what he was and do
1:08:07
those Greater Works that he said we can do father we thank you for this lesson we thank you that God that
1:08:15
though blind barus was blind naturally he was not blind
1:08:21
spiritually and the lesson in this for us is that God that our eyes may be open
1:08:28
spiritually that we may see that our ears may be open spiritually that we may
1:08:35
hear and God that it will be clear to us what you are saying despite what men are
1:08:42
saying they may be telling us to sit down somewhere and you were not called and I'm not going to ordain you I'm not
1:08:49
going to license you but God I don't see I know you you did certain things but
1:08:54
you didn't give us you don't have to give us papers you just need to call us and if you call us you qualified US for
1:09:01
it maybe we don't meet men's qualifications and their expectations
1:09:06
but as long as we meet yours and your grace and mercy is sufficient for all of us regardless of
1:09:14
what we did because our past truly does not define us it aligns us for where you
1:09:21
where you're taking us next and so God as we prepare for our next continue to
1:09:27
open our eyes continue to have mercy on us and to allow us to hear your voice
1:09:33
even the more and to recognize your voice even the more as even on a couple
1:09:39
of days ago if I had not heard your voice I would probably be dead or very hurt hurt very badly from gunshot wounds
1:09:48
that would have been inflicted on a
1:09:53
fluke the enemy is very very visible and I decree and declare as your
1:10:01
word says that your word will not return to you vo but it will accomplish every single thing that it was sent to do and
1:10:09
it will be visible your lights as in us will be shining the salt in us will be
1:10:16
savoring everywhere we go God we will impart something to give someone
1:10:23
encouragement and love and let them know that that you love them and have a plan for their lives and you love them too much to leave them where they are but
1:10:30
you accept them just where they are you accepted blind B mayus blind poor on the
1:10:38
side of the road with nothing really to offer you had value in you saw the value in him
1:10:45
and you saw the value in US so much that you sent your son to come down to the Earth in human
1:10:54
flesh walked the word Earth and even though they didn't recognize him until he was
1:11:00
on that cross and had died for us you sent him
1:11:06
to suffer the worst and most embarrassing death possible on Earth for
1:11:13
us you saw the value in US and you sent your son and we thank
1:11:19
you we praise you continue to keep us God continue to touch bere families
1:11:24
continue to heal sick bodies open blinded eyes open deaf ears meeting us
1:11:31
everywhere that we have a need and doing that through each other it's not about
1:11:38
Building Wealth and riches but that we all survive and get through this life by
1:11:46
way of your Holy Spirit using us as yielded
1:11:52
vessels so that we will not get to the gate and be turned away because we did not
1:11:59
take care of each other the way you ordained us to I Praise You glorify you
1:12:04
and magnify you and I thank you for open eyes and open ears and I
1:12:12
decree that everyone as your word says who asks of you our good father the
1:12:20
same according to your will that we prosper and be in health
1:12:26
even as our soul prospers that they too will be able to see and be and do
1:12:33
everything that you have called us to be in Jesus name I pray amen and thank God
1:12:38
all right thank you guys for joining thank you for your patience I had to be persistent this this
1:12:44
morning I had to be persistent I almost started crying my grandson text say
1:12:50
grandma is Bible class still not on yet and I'm like I'm trying everything I'm
1:12:55
about to cry he said don't cry I still was persistent because I know this word has to get out and some people may not
1:13:03
like it and it don't matter the people that supposed to get this word and that it's going to impact will get what God
1:13:09
is getting has prepared for them in this lesson I always say this every lesson is
1:13:14
for me literally everything I taught today hit me in so many ways and opened
1:13:21
up my eyes in so many ways to so many things and I pray that does the same for
